Mary, one of our customers, enjoyed this book. It can be found on the shelves, or reserved at, Low Fell Library.
Mary enjoyed this book because there was lots about the North East in it.
In the early hours of New Year’s Day 1980, a group of young people vow to always remain friends. But as the years pass, promises are broken, dreams are shattered and nothing and no-one would ever be the same.
Jenny’s ambition would take her from the North East to London and New York, but she could never forget the lover of her girlhood dreams or the shocking death which haunted her.
Keir was desperate to escape the coal mines of Belgate and reinvented himself as a television star in London. In his search for fame and love he encountered many women, but still yearned for the beauty he had left behind.
Alan’s dreams of success were ruined by a devastating tragedy. He returned home and found an unexpected love.
These friends are bound together by dreams, desires and guilty secrets…
